No real specific story to this image, I was asked to donate some prints to a charity auction and came to realise I really had nothing to give, most of my images I had done in the past year were either related to private projects or commissions that I am unable to reproduce. So I am hoping to do a few dragon images in the next little while that will remedy that. This is not a complaint, I very much enjoy painting dragons, more so then any other subject. And it seems people enjoy my renditions of them so its a mostly win situation

I'll say! This one is still one of my top 5 favorite pictures on DeviantArt, which says since, despite being my favorite fantasy species, is the one creature I'm also the most annoyed with most mainstream artistic interpretations thereof. I probably wouldn't like dragons as much as I do now if it weren't for the influence of various Japanese video games.
Anyway, this picture is yet another winner. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what's great about it. Everything just flows well. Giving the dragon pupils certainly adds a nice aesthetic to the picture.

Wow. I love the color blending. It's very fun to look at a color, and watch it change seamlessly. It has a very serene mood too. You've captured the scene briliantly!

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.
